Blog EntryStarting off with a brush with deathSep 4, '06 8:20 AM
for everyone

I've been putting off writing something in this blog since I did not know how to start it and was busy this past week, however now I have to put this down as it is bizarre and a wonder in a way.  Allow me to expound.

Me and my girl(Jing) were on our way home on my 250cc motorbike yesterday.

We were on the Clark highway and doing about 60kph since it was 5:30AM in the morning and the wind was bitingly cold, I had a headache, and of course I had my girl clinging to me on my back.  So no speed demon for me that morning.

We were just talking and laughing when all of a sudden a car swerved and almost hit us.  It is extraordinary since it did hit the bikes clutch bar but nothing else.  I did not get the license plate since I immediately slowed down then checked to make sure everything was okay.  Jing asked "Babe, what happened?"  - We got hit!!! Goddamit! That bastard!! Are you okay? -

The clutch lever had snapped due to the high pressure, it was originally black but now along the snapped area it was silver due to the pressure exerted.

Its a good thing it snapped, if not the bikes steering would have been pushed to the right and we would have flipped over even at 50-60Kph.

A dozen accident scenes ripped through my mind while we were on the side of the highway.  I cleared my mind, then we started on our way, my babe rubbed my back coz she knew I was seething inside... WTF was with the person driving that car!?  We could have died!  There was no traffic, it was a two lane road and we were on the side since I knew we were going pretty slow for a highway.

I'm just glad we got out of that one alive.
